- Introduction of innovative G-Loader technology to the US market
- Setup of an own, decentral server structure in the USA
- Gorillabox to participate at Game Connection in San Francisco
Following the successful introduction to the German market last December, Gorillabox LLC makes its innovative streaming technology available on the US market. The G-Loader will be launched with the famous gamigo game Fiesta Online by the end of February 2017. The cloud streaming provider founded in 2014 provides a technology that is able to make client games immediately playable during the actual installation process as a cloud-based, interactive real-time stream.
Since December 2016 the technology is successfully in use in Germany – the path into the much-appreciated anime MMORPG Fiesta Online shortened from 32 minutes to 22 seconds on average. Subsequently, the conversion rate (conversion of registered users to players) increased by more than 80% and the churn rate reduced significantly as well.
With its G-Loader, Gorillabox provides the opportunity for game developers and publishers to promote games and improve their products’ user experience sustainably. The software does not require any changes in the source code and by rendering the game client in the cloud no part of the game needs to be preloaded. Moreover, “bad/fraud traffic“ can be counteracted effectively by identifying exactly at which stage of the installation process the installation is aborted. Therefore, the G-Loader improves the return on investment as well as further important performance indicators, especially in the free-to-play segment.
Along with the market introduction of the first game using G-Loader technology, a unique, decentralized physical server structure has been set up in the USA. This structure is meant to grant a smooth launch and provide customers as well as users with the same advantages that have already proven successful in Europe. At this year’s Game Connection, taking place in San Francisco from February 27th to March 1st, the Gorillabox team will be meeting interested publishers and developers at the gamigo booth 81-82.
Frederik Peter, CEO of Gorillabox, comments: “After the successful commercial launch in Germany we now expect the same positive reactions when introducing the G-Loader with Fiesta Online in North America. We are currently negotiating with other interested parties and plan to apply the G-Loader to even more games in the near future.”
