Numerous updates for Cultures Online — Funatics takes over community support

Christmas has come early for Cultures Online players this year: Today, gamigo (, one of the leading providers of online games, announced a whole slew of improvements and new game content for the free-to-play browser-based online role-playing game.

Both beginners and Cultures Online veterans will have something to look forward to. Firstly, the tutorial has been revamped; beginners will now be introduced to the rules of the game with special missions that are easy to understand. For heroes at level 150 and above, there is a new state in America to conquer — Hawaii. Naturally, it also has its own new dungeon filled with coveted items. All players will now be assigned quests by legendary Viking heroes and will be able to prove their true worth in an intensifying battle for the colonies in America. In addition, there is also a level area that has been increased to level 159, as well as an array of detail enhancements. Finally, a great number of prices have been reduced and the balancing of the game optimized.

In cooperation with gamigo, Funatics Software GmbH, the developer of Cultures Online, will take over the community support of the game with immediate effect. However, nothing will change for the players, except for the fact that in future, all inquiries will be answered more directly and quickly.

“With the large amount of new game content and the transfer of community support to Funatics, Cultures Online is perfectly equipped for the future,” comments Remco Westermann, the CEO of gamigo AG. “Cultures Online is one of the most popular games in our portfolio, and we look forward to an even closer working relationship with the developer of the game.”

Cultures Online transports players to the adventure-filled world of the Vikings. From a place near Iceland in the far north, they begin their exploration of the world, seize new colonies, and continue to expand their home port. Whether as a warrior, craftsman, or a researcher — the roads that lead to success and glory are numerous. Cultures Online can be played for free and directly in your browser at
