- Streaming service provider Gorillabox presents a scalable cloud gaming solution that shortens installation processes for download games dramatically
- gamigo to show several other innovations at gamescom 2016
Hamburg, August 15, 2016 – gamigo AG (“gamigo”, bond ISIN: DE000A1TNJY0), a leading company in the quickly growing market for games in Europe and North America, will present a revolutionary, scalable cloud gaming solution together with its participation Gorillabox LLC at the world’s largest gaming trade fair gamescom in Cologne.
The real-time cloud solution service provider Gorillabox LLC, founded in 2014, has made its technical solutions ready for production after a thorough testing process. A cloud-based technology will be offered that can display client games (games that have to be downloaded) in a stream during the installation process. This allows users to start a game immediately without having to wait for download, installation and update processes to finish. An international patent for this technology has already been applied for.
The technology will be introduced to the market in the 4th quarter of 2016 with the gamigo multiplayer anime game Fiesta Online.
Apart from being applied in gamigo’s game portfolio – especially with regard to MMOGs (Massively Multiplayer Online Games) that make up a substantial part of the gamigo portfolio – the innovative technology will also be marketed in the B2B area, thus strengthening gamigo’s Software as a Service platform strategy.
Remco Westermann, CEO of gamigo AG, explains: “Gorillabox gives us the opportunity to reduce our registration and installation processes, saving the player a significant amount of time and work. This will improve the user experience and give us even more cost-effective marketing possibilities.”
Frederik Peter, one of the founders and CEOs of Gorillabox LLC, comments: “With our new product we can avoid the time-consuming installation process of client games. Streaming solutions will drastically improve both accessibility and gaming experience in the near future. Together with the gamigo group, we are driving this development forward.”
Besides Gorillabox, several other companies of the gamigo group will present their existing and upcoming B2B services in the group’s B2B pavilion: MBE (payment and ticketing), highdigit (SaaS game publishing solutions) and adspree (lead generation plus the new branch influencer marketing).
