Hamburg, October 30th, 2015 – The gamigo corporation (“gamigo,” bond ISIN: DE000A1TNJY0), a leading international gaming company positioned in the fast-growing European and North American game markets, will strengthen its management board in the context of its dynamic growth with Andreas Planer (34). He will function as Chief Operating Officer (COO) from November 2015 onwards and be responsible for the areas Marketing, Platform Development, Technical Services and Gaming as a Service.
Andreas Planer looks back on 18 years of experience in the gaming industry, during which he has worked with some of its leading companies. Amongst other things, he already had a managing position in the gamigo corporation back in 2000. In 2005, Andreas Planer founded the next idea GmbH, which laid the foundation for the Looki Publishing GmbH. In recent years, Looki published some of the most popular international online games such as “Desert Operations“ and “Empire Universe“. The company with 30 million users has been wholly taken over by gamigo a couple of weeks ago.
On gamigo’s management board, Remco Westermann as CEO remains responsible for strategy, products, finances and Human Resources. Theodor Niehues has resigned from the board for personal reasons.
