gamigo AG (“gamigo“,bond ISIN: DE000A1TNJY0) continues its expansion and has taken over 100% of highdigit GmbH, founded in 2012. highdigit GmbH, with registered office in Berlin, is an innovative tech start-up.
With its hd backend, highdigit GmbH offers games publishers and developers modular all-in-one solutions for the operation and marketing of their products. This includes payment services with more 100 international payment methods as well as marketing, CRM, analysis and support tools. highdigit cooperates with renowned customers, including Wingracers of Red Bull, PayPal as well as paysafecard. With this takeover the gamigo Group enlarges its platform strategy. The technical solution of the hd backend is a good supplement to the technical platform of the gamigo Group, more particularly in the field of software-as-a-service solutions. At the same time, the takeover results in a growth in the B2B customer portfolio and sales revenues.
The strategic merger of gamigo AG with Aeria Games Europe GmbH, announced in May, has been completed after the clearing by the competent antitrust authorities by a contribution of Aeria Games as well as SevenGames Network to gamigo AG. The merger is a logical step to build a leading platform for the consolidation of the European games market. The combination doing business under the name of gamigo can rely on a strong position in publishing and distribution, more particularly for free-to-play games in Europe and North America and counts already more than 100 million registered user accounts. The merged publisher boasts a broad portfolio of more than 20 multiplayer and more than 500 casual games. The games are at present offered for sale in more than 20 countries. For this year and beyond, various new publications of mobile and online games are already scheduled.
The ProSiebenSat.1 Group has contributed its 100 percent stake in Aeria Games and SevenGames Network to gamigo AG and is now a minority shareholder of gamigo AG with 33 percent. SevenGames Network GmbH will in future do business under the name of adspree media GmbH.
With the takeover of highdigit GmbH as well as the merger with Aeria Games, gamigo is consistently pressing ahead with the extension of its platform strategy. Substantial synergies will be leveraged during the coming 12 months. As a result of the merger, the gamigo Group has become the leading games corporation in Europe and North America in the field of free-to-play browser, download, client and mobile games.
