Hamburg, Germany (June 17, 2026) | The wait is over. Besieged MMO Gloria Victis is finally back, and gamigo is excited to give players a chance to dive into the popular PvP siege MMO once again. After announcing the relaunch of the medieval open-world MMORPG back in February 2026, the now free-to-play title is open to players far and wide across the land. After a decade online and being named a “Top Game” on Steam more than three years ago, Gloria Victis makes a triumphant return to the battlefield.

After acquiring the license to Gloria Victis, gamigo set out to bring the beloved MMORPG back to players around the world. Players can destroy enemy castle bases while immersing themselves in a range of features, including strategic territory control, PvP combat over fortifications, a vibrant economy, and a high-stakes looting system. Following the closed beta test in May 2026, players can look forward to an updated version of the popular title when they log on.
On top of the relaunch, those who played Gloria Victis before the licensing transition will have the opportunity to recover their previously purchased premium skins. The Gloria Victis team is already hard at work implementing improvements, and players can look forward to a major post-launch content update, including the highly anticipated guild-focused siege system called State of War, where players attack and defend custom-built castles on Guild Islands.

Gloria Victis is an open-world MMORPG set in a low-fantasy medieval land. With an emphasis on realism, it features action-based non-target combat and PVP with territory control, meaning one’s skill can mean the difference between life and death. - Non-Target Combat & Epic PVP: Engage in action-based, non-target combat where your skills and tactics matter. Show your warrior spirit and earn fame as an undefeatable duelist, eagle-eyed archer, or respected commander inspiring your allies in battle.
- Player-driven Economy: Look for the best resources and materials out in the world, and capture resource nodes. Use workstations to craft high-quality items, and cooperate with others to increase your efficiency and achieve mastery in one of eight different realistic crafts. Plant your own seeds, tend your crops, and keep them safe from pillaging enemies.
- Innovative Partial Loot System: In certain places on the map, you’ll be able to loot defeated enemies and take your reward by selecting which specific items you will loot – but hurry, the clock is ticking! Are you good enough to succeed there? Or would you rather choose less risky ways to gain your wealth?
