Number of user accounts at gamigo rises to over 65 million

Portfolio expansion through acquisition of additional internationally successful online games

Stake in Infernum Games GmbH increased from 50 to 100 percent

Hamburg, 12 October 2015. gamigo AG (“gamigo,” bond ISIN: DE000A1TNJY0), a leading player in the fast growing games market in Europe and North America, today announced that it is expanding its platform further by acquiring 100 percent of Looki Publishing GmbH based in Münster/Germany. Looki Publishing GmbH operates leading international entertainment platforms and is a leading independent publisher of internationally successful online games. By acquiring Looki, gamigo takes over several successful online games, boosts the number of user accounts on its platform to more than 65 million and expands its business activities to the Arab region and South America.

The seller of Looki Publishing GmbH is next idea GmbH. Looki’s offices in Münster will be retained and expanded. Both parties agreed to maintain confidentiality regarding the purchase price. In the course of the Looki acquisition, next idea GmbH becomes a shareholder of gamigo AG.

Looki Publishing GmbH was established in 2011 and its portfolio includes titles such as Empire Universe and Desert Operations, which are among the most popular online games internationally. Both the entertainment platform and its games were localized in 22 languages.

Parallel to acquiring Looki Publishing GmbH, gamigo increased its stake in the Berlin-based gaming company Infernum Games GmbH from 50 to 100 percent. Infernum has around 6 million registered user accounts and owns several internationally successful online games. In June 2015, gamigo and next idea GmbH each had acquired a 50 percent interest in Infernum Productions AG by means of an asset deal (see corporate news release dated 1 July 2015). gamigo AG is planning further acquisitions as well.
